Traveling down the Amazon River, 2018
It is an honor to invite you to join us in celebrating our love. We will host a small gathering to witness our exchanging of vows on the lush, lovingly tended grounds of Hacienda La Sierra, a coffee farm nestled in the Andean foothills of Colombia, just an hour and a half outside of Medellin. As you may already know, Colombia is a place that is very dear to us. It is the font of the Andes, the homeland of author Gabriel Garcia Marquez, the third-largest coffee producer in the world, the second-most biodiverse country on earth, a place we called home for six months, and a truly enchanted land. We thank you for the role you’ve played in shaping who we are today and in getting us to a place where we could find each other. Please join us as we step forward on our next rollicking adventure—that three-legged footrace of husband and wife.
Be sure to RSVP at the bottom of this page.

Dates
We are pleased to provide accommodations at the hacienda from February 3-8. We ask that you be flexible with sleeping arrangements. If you prefer to stay elsewhere, there are limited options in Fredonia or Venecia and we strongly advise against driving at night.
At Dead Horse, Alaska, 2023
We plan to have the ceremony on the 5th. We recommend arriving in Medellin on the 2nd and departing on the 9th if you are not going to extend your trip further. (We are happy to share some recommendations if you are.) This will allow us to travel to and from the city together.

Location
The hacienda is an hour and a half south of Medellin and thirty minutes from the small coffee hamlet of Fredonia.
—
Attire
Colorful cocktail attire is welcomed, but don’t stress about it. Wear something you enjoy wearing. When choosing footwear, bear in mind that our ceremony will be held outside (weather permitting) and we will be standing on either a lawn or rustic courtyard.
—
Menu
Catered meals will be provided for the full days of the 4th and 5th. The rest of the days we will need to fend for ourselves. We recommend buying groceries from one of several supermarkets in Medellin, as there is just a small market in Fredonia. We will coordinate closer to the date.
Please let us know in advance if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions.

Getting there
Fly into José Maria Cordova Medellin international airport (MDE) and take an Uber into Medellin to stay the night. We recommend staying in the neighborhoods of El Poblado or Laureles. There are several ways to get from Medellin to the hacienda. A driver from the hacienda can be arranged for airport pick-ups and drop-offs, you can rent a car and drive (it must have high clearance), or, if you are adventurous, you can take a local bus.

Other info
The CDC recommends getting vaccinated for yellow fever if you are not already. You may want to consult a travel clinic.
