The Darien Gap is a virtually impassable stretch of jungle separating Central and South America. Every Panamerican motorcyclist has to make a choice whether to fly, ship, or sail their motorcycle around the gap. We decided to sail. We departed from Colon, Panama on April 6 and arrived in Cartagena, Colombia five days later.
